Alexander Rosenblatt
Song 15
If we had a list of 100,000 songs and we were told to pick one that sounded like Rosenblatt made it, this would be it. It’s just ambient-folky enough to border on electronica but still have a foot in the door in a record shop somewhere in Brooklyn.

The Squeezer
Here's one I call "the Squeezer" and ode to my juicing machine. A lovely kitchen appliance.

If I Die
What pop lick masters. Any song in with a “la-La,” “fa-fa,” or “bah-bah” sing along section is a great song by us. Also cool square wave solo breakdown!

Holy Schneikies! That intro is on the 1 and 3! The build-ups in this joint makes us feel like we’re at a sick Euro-rave. Over 4 minutes, but you’ve used every second wisely, so we’ll allow it!

Dolphin
so long and thanks for all the fish! Dolphins rule. They hop from sound wave to sound wave with such flawless aquatic ease. Listening to this makes us feel like we should be riding ocean waves.

Zgress
Grab My D
Classic Zgress: Boy-band pop meets smooth jazz with extra teaspoon of… dick (minus 10 points for lyrics). Excellent use of auto tune though and is that… pan flute we hear?

Very Herbie Hancock, funky sounds. The guitar effects are primo Brooks.

Dan Bogan
Dan Bogan – Dark and sensual, “the motha fuckin beam splitter” evokes feelings of mystery, suspense, and near-deadly seduction that could potentially be a direct result of splitting beams. What a sick drum track.

Dance-Song-Off/Blogcontest
The Real Human Beans presents the first one of a kind - blogcontest (yes, that shit is one word).
The real-human-beans are all about fresh, original, DIY tracks; especially the ones you can get down to. I knew both Terkel and I had one or two short dance tracks kicking around so, I challenged Terkel to a Dance-Track-Off. But then I realized why not invite all our friends?
So this is an *official* open invitation to composers and arrangers. It's a spot to get some work of your own out there and participate in our contest.
We're accepting *dancey* tracks under 4 mins to post and be judged on our blog. Any production means are welcome to be used. Send the finished product in any standard audio format to: danbbarker@gmail.com
Here's a good example of a dance track from Dan (with the help of his Adventure Beat Porkestra, it is called "West Coast Beast":
Our first round will feature your dance track projects! The end result of all this will be a pizza party in honor of the winner. But really we're all winners, so we all get pizza. AND hopefully if this goes well we can hold a bigger contest next time with a rollerskating party prize (with balloons)
...stay tuned to the Jukebox of the Future for updates.
(
*Whatever hardware, software or analog methods you choose to employ are welcome, but let us know what you DO use. It will be interesting to compare notes!!!*

Track 1
Here we are. Real Human Beans, or The R-H-Bs. We're coming your way via the jukebox of the future (this blog) its our way to bring you all kinds of ideas. Some musical, others whimsical, all around a good time. This week, the dirty low down...
A good friend of ours ran in to some trouble this week. He got ran into the ground, dirty low down. We thought he deserved a break bigtime, so we made him this. We knew he'd like it and hopefully you do too. It's the RHBs doing Boz Scaggs' "Lowdown."
and for all the sexy lowdowners we miss in 2009
